PORSCHE PRESTIGE WINTER DRIVING EXPERIENCE | RECAP

Last month, we had the opportunity to spend the day with the team at Porsche Prestige for their annual Customer Winter Driving Day that took place at Circuit Mecaglisse in the Laurentians. As we arrived at the track at 8:00 AM, the sun had just started to peek out from the clouds and the temperature was already mild. A total of 21 cars were present, including Macans, Cayennes, a pair of Panameras, various 911s (including a manual 997 Carrera Convertible), and even a GT3 that one of the team members of Porsche Prestige brought up for the day.

After a light breakfast, invitees were presented with a theory class led by instructors of the circuit before commencing the day. By this time, it was roughly 9:30 AM, already +2°C, and the conditions were absolutely perfect. Divided into groups of two, each driver had access to various sections of the track to put their skills to the test and experience the full capabilities of their Porsche in winter conditions.

As the day was nearing its end, participants were able to put everything they learned to the test in a giant open track that consisted of nearly all the sections they were on throughout the day merged into one. By this time, the temperature had peaked to +5°C, which resulted in those who had convertibles and targas to put their tops down; a great way to conclude a memorable day!

For anyone who has the opportunity to participate in a Porsche Winter Driving Event and see the capabilities of their vehicle in winter, I highly recommend it. Thank you once again to the team at Porsche Prestige for having us!
