THE FANTASTIC FOUR | MONTREAL, QC

Have you ever dreamed of owning a different car for every day of the week? What about a different car for every day of the month? And no, I’m not referring to February with its mediocre 28 days. Whether you’re into Porsches, Ferraris, Mercedes’s or Rolls-Royce’s, Montreal car collector @davcars has it all. On May 3rd, as I was shooting a newly delivered Ferrari 488 Pista in my hometown of Boucherville, QC, I received a DM from Dav telling me he was taking a few toys out in roughly an hour. And so, off to downtown I went!

When I arrived there, in front of Le Mount Stephen Hotel were four of his prized possessions: a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, a Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII, a Porsche 918 Spyder and a Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta. Seeing one of those cars alone would have gotten me excited, seeing all four together was complete insanity. Even if they all look quite different, they share one feature: they are top tier models of each of their designated brands.

The SVJ is the top of the range Aventador, it thrones over the LP700-4, the S and the SV. Oh, and did I mention that with a lap time of 6:44:97, it currently holds the fastest lap around the Nürburgring for a production street-legal car?

With sports and hypercars not offering the most comfortable rides, some luxury is required and that’s when the Phantom comes to play. The Phantom is characterized by its sheer massiveness and overall road presence. Step inside and you will discover a world of automotive luxury as you have never thought was possible and with its 563 hp 6.75 L V12, this land yacht is far from slow. Also, many of you might recognize this particular Phantom as it was the one present at the Rolls-Royce Montreal booth at this year’s Montreal International Auto Show.

Also part of the lineup is a Porsche 918 Spyder, which was limited to, you guessed it, 918 units. When a 918 equipped with the Weissach Package went around the Nürburgring in 2013, it was the first production street-legal car to break the 7-minute barrier! Not too shabby considering the 918 Spyder was only Porsche’s second attempt at building a plug-in hybrid car.

Last but not least, with a total of 210 units, the LaFerrari Aperta is the rarest of the bunch. This car was unveiled to mark the 70th anniversary of Ferrari and it proudly wears a badge indicating that located near its rear wheels. Total power output? A whopping 949 hp hybrid powertrain allows it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in under 3 seconds.

If you had to choose one of the four cars showcased above, which would it be?
